Claim that 'Istanbul and Ankara candidates were decided during Erdoğan and Bahçeli meeting'
It has been claimed that the People's Alliance's candidates for Ankara and Istanbul were determined during the meeting between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
Following the 50+1 crisis in politics, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for the first time.
It was learned that the People's Alliance's local election strategy was discussed during the duo's meeting. On the other hand, information leaked from backstage suggests that Erdoğan and Bahçeli consulted on the names to be nominated in Ankara and Istanbul during this meeting.
CLAIM THAT ANKARA AND ISTANBUL CANDIDATES HAVE BEEN DECIDED
According to a report by Tolga Balcı from Gazete Pencere, the name of AKP deputy and former Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum has been finalized for Istanbul, where Metin Külünk is a candidate for nomination. In Ankara, where a candidate profile that will appeal to nationalist-conservative voters is expected to be put forward for the local elections, the name of former Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk has come to the fore.
The names to be candidates in the elections are expected to be announced after being discussed within the boards of the two parties.
