The attendance of mayors at the İzmir program of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship with a decision of absolute nullity, has become a topic of discussion. While some party members showed interest in Kılıçdaroğlu's meeting at the Suat Taşer Art Center, it was observed that many CHP mayors did not attend the program.
Among the names who did not attend the program were Karşıyaka Mayor Yıldız Ünsal, Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal, Çiğli Mayor Onur Emrah Yıldız, Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, Narlıdere Mayor Erman Uzun, and Foça Mayor Saniye Bora Fıçı.
It was reported that the only representative of a municipality from İzmir to attend the program was Buca Deputy Mayor Hüseyin Benzer.
Notable moments also occurred during Kılıçdaroğlu's visit to Karşıyaka. It was observed that some citizens at the Kent Balık Restaurant reacted by booing when they saw Kılıçdaroğlu.
