Collective bargaining agreement finalized in CHP-run municipality: Working hours reduced
In the Menteşe district of Muğla, the 2025 salary negotiations between the Municipality and the DİSK Genel İş Union have concluded with an agreement. A total increase of 35 percent was secured for workers' salaries, and the weekly working hours were reduced to 40 hours.
In the Menteşe district of Muğla, collective bargaining negotiations between the municipality, led by CHP Mayor Gonca Köksal, and the DİSK Genel İş Union have been completed.
Under the agreement, workers' salaries will see a total increase of 35 percent.
IMPROVEMENTS TO WORKING CONDITIONS
According to the agreement, the rights to be provided to municipal personnel are as follows:
There will be no deductions from meal allowances on workers' days off.
Severance pay will be issued based on years of service.
A 20 percent salary increase will be applied for the first 6 months, and a 10 percent increase for the second 6 months.
Including severance pay, the total salary increase will reach 35 percent.
The weekly working hours for municipal employees will be reduced from 45 hours to 40 hours.
