Compensation lawsuit from Adnan Beker against Kılıçdaroğlu
Ankara MP Adnan Beker has filed a criminal complaint and a 5 Lira non-pecuniary damages lawsuit against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu due to his remarks.
Ankara MP Adnan Beker has taken legal action again against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who used the term "dirty man" to describe him during a television program.
In the petition submitted to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Beker filed a criminal complaint against Kılıçdaroğlu on charges of "insult" and "slander." He also filed a 5 Lira non-pecuniary damages lawsuit at the Ankara Civil Court of First Instance.
It was stated that the application was made following Kılıçdaroğlu's remarks about Beker during a TV 100 broadcast and his statement, "Let him file a lawsuit against me, I will reveal all his filth with evidence."
REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE IN THE PETITION
In the criminal complaint petition, it was requested that Kılıçdaroğlu submit the evidence he claimed to have disclosed to the public to the prosecutor's office. The petition noted that the alleged evidence was requested both for the evaluation of the accusations and for the proper conduct of the investigation.
"The fact that the suspect has not even been able to explain what kind of evidence he possesses regarding which concrete issue concerning the client already demonstrates on its own that these allegations are entirely baseless and nothing more than outright slander."
In the compensation lawsuit petition, 5 Lira in non-pecuniary damages was requested. Beker's side also requested a determination that there has been a systematic attack on his personal rights and that the court's decision be published in the three national newspapers with the highest circulation.
The tension between Beker and Kılıçdaroğlu had previously been brought to the judiciary. Beker had also filed a criminal complaint due to the words "what are his militants doing there?" used by Kılıçdaroğlu in his press statement on May 27, 2026, and his statements on Sözcü TV on June 19, 2026.
Following the post made by Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer Celal Çelik on the social media platform X asking, "Will you be able to file a lawsuit?", the petitions previously submitted to the prosecutor's office by Beker's lawyer were shared on social media.
