President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the request of the Armenian side.
The following statement was issued by the Directorate of Communications:
"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the request of the Armenian side. The peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed during the call.
During the conversation, President Erdoğan congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan on the agreement reached with Azerbaijan. Our President stated that the will for peace that has been demonstrated is valuable for regional stability and that this step must now be transformed into concrete actions.
President Erdoğan said that discussions at the technical level will continue to advance the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia, and that efforts in this regard will persist."
