'Crimes against secularism' fourth file: They are spreading danger on an international scale

In the file prepared and published by the 'Ensesindeyiz' initiative, it is noted that religious sects in Turkey are dividing society by exploiting all state resources and with the normalization efforts of the government, and that they continue their anti-Republican and illegal activities.

"WE WILL UPROOT THE DARKNESS THEY HAVE CAUSED FROM OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY"

The statement, which says, "Since they cannot achieve the legitimacy they desire among the working classes, they hide behind the guise of NGOs, take refuge in protocols, and continue to exploit religion. Moreover, they are spreading danger not only within the country's borders but on an international scale. We, however, are determined; we will uproot the darkness they have caused from our beautiful country," emphasized that crimes committed against secularism will continue to be announced and monitored every week.

The crimes included in the file published by the TKP this week are listed as follows:

  • During a march held in Istanbul for Palestine by the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), caliphate and tawhid flags were unfurled accompanied by takbirs.
  • The HÜDA PAR Youth Branches, which organized a march in Batman titled "The grandchildren of Saladin Ayyubi march for Gaza," chanted slogans of "War, jihad, martyrdom."
  • The İsmailağa Community is building a massive complex under the name "Mahmud Efendi Complex" in the Çeltik neighborhood of the Osmangazi district. The illegal construction carried out by the Soğanlı İkizler Fatih Service Foundation, which is affiliated with İsmailağa, is being ignored by the AKP-run Osmangazi Municipality.
  • Tenders from the AKP-run Ümraniye, Zeytinburnu, Çekmeköy, Başakşehir, and Tuzla municipalities were awarded to individuals known for their proximity to the People's Alliance. One of the tender winners serves as an executive in an association of the Naqshbandi sect.
  • With the ÇEDES protocol, the religious indoctrination in education is deepening day by day. The latest example of controversial practices came from the Van Metropolitan Municipality, which is under the administration of a government-appointed trustee. Among the books the municipality plans to send to schools are those by the anti-Republican Nurettin Topçu, which target co-education and insult Alevism by calling it a "corrupt mentality."
  • The Diyanet has disregarded women's right to work! The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) responded to questions about family in the "Family and Religious Guidance" section on its website. In response to the question, "Is a woman's work subject to her husband's permission?" the Diyanet replied, "A woman's work is subject to her husband's permission!"
  • It has emerged that the judiciary protected a sectarian bigot. A lawsuit was filed two and a half years after the indictment was prepared against Ayhan Şengüler, the person in charge of the Quran Service Foundation, known for his Salafi rhetoric, on charges of sexually assaulting his wife. Furthermore, it was revealed that despite a report being prepared stating that Ayhan Şengüler had abused his 4-year-old daughter, D.Ş., his file was closed on the pretext of 'insufficient evidence.'
