Criminal complaint being prepared against Özlem Çerçioğlu, who joined the AKP

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel has responded harshly to the allegations made by Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, who claimed there was zoning rent and mafia involvement in Kuşadası.

Günel announced that an official process will be initiated to investigate these allegations.

In his statement, Ömer Günel noted that Çerçioğlu is obligated to prove her claims, stating, "If there is zoning rent in Kuşadası, she must clearly state who is responsible for it.

Likewise, the mafia allegation is a serious accusation, and she must prove this as well.

Otherwise, this constitutes slander and creates unnecessary fear and distrust in society."

Drawing attention to the seriousness of the mafia allegations, Günel said, "If these allegations are true, it means we are facing a serious problem that threatens public order. For this reason, we will file a criminal complaint with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office."

Günel added that the necessary steps will be taken to ensure the allegations are examined in detail.
