Criminal complaint filed against Sırrı Sakık following 'baseness' remarks
The Kemalist Thought Association (ADD) has filed a criminal complaint against DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık for allegedly insulting Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, following his remarks in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) stating, "The real baseness is to ignore the Kurds after having founded the country together."
The Kemalist Thought Association (ADD) has filed a criminal complaint against DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık due to his speech in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
The following statements were included in the ADD's announcement:
"As the Kemalist Thought Association, we have filed a criminal complaint requesting that a public investigation be launched and a public lawsuit be opened against DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık, who openly insulted the savior of our homeland and the founder of our state, the Great Atatürk, and his comrades-in-arms, and incited the public with insolent expressions such as, 'In recent days, the words traitor and base have been flying around in parliament. The real baseness is to ignore the Kurds after having founded the country together...' We present this to the attention and information of our dear nation and the esteemed press."
