Critical day for CHP: 3 consecutive meetings to be held
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the head of the CHP by a decision of absolute nullity, will chair critical MYK and Party Assembly meetings today. On the other side, elected Chairman Özgür Özel will deliver a speech at his party's group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed as the CHP Chairman by a court decision, will chair his first major meetings today at the CHP Headquarters in Ankara with the Central Executive Board (MYK) and subsequently the Party Assembly (PM).
The MYK will meet at 11:00, and the PM will meet at 14:00. The main agenda for these meetings will be the recent developments within the party and the repercussions of the ongoing management crisis. It has been reported that Kılıçdaroğlu will make assessments regarding the agenda at the opening of the Party Assembly, where current political issues and the functioning of provincial disciplinary boards will be discussed in detail.
It is also being discussed in political circles that Kılıçdaroğlu has not applied to the Speaker of the Parliament for the group meeting to be held at the TBMM due to the ongoing leadership debates within the party.
ÖZEL TO SPEAK AT THE GROUP MEETING
CHP's elected Chairman Özgür Özel will take the podium at his party's group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey today at 13:30 and will make statements regarding current politics and party activities.
Making a statement after yesterday's MYK meeting, CHP member Zeynel Emre said, "If you notice, those who come with absolute nullity cannot meet with the public anywhere. But as part of our understanding of politics, we will continue to work transparently, constantly being with our citizens and party members, on how we can save the future, how we can construct the future, and how we can truly create the government and administration that this beautiful country deserves."
