While there was much anticipation regarding when the AKP would hold its major Istanbul rally, AKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Osman Nuri Kabaktepe made statements on the matter.
Responding to questions about the election agenda on Ülke TV, Kabaktepe spoke as follows regarding the AKP's major Istanbul rally:
"We will continue our visits until the Sunday before March 31. Perhaps that Sunday will be our major Istanbul rally. As you know, it is our tradition to hold our major Istanbul rally with the participation of our President on the last Sunday before the election. Before the May 14 elections, we held it under the concept of 'Turkey is entrusted to you.' Now, our colleagues are working on a new concept."
