Debt from previous term announced in municipality that passed to CHP

The debt of Silivri Municipality, which passed from the MHP to the CHP in the March 31 local elections, has been announced.

Unlike in other municipalities that changed hands in the local elections, Mayor Balcıoğlu, who chose not to hang the debt amount on the municipal building, preferred to announce the debt on his own social media account.

CHP Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu announced in a post on his social media account that the debt is 1 billion 503 million 295 thousand TL.

HAS A POPULATION OF 138 THOUSAND

In the district with a population of 138 thousand, the AKP did not nominate a candidate and supported the MHP.

According to the table shared by Balcıoğlu, 1 billion 85 million TL of the debt is owed to companies. Municipal subsidiaries have a debt of more than 225 million TL.
