Decision on Hasan Bitmez in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey will not continue its proceedings today due to the passing of Saadet Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez.
Saadet Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez's passing was announced to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, after which Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Sırrı Süreyya Önder adjourned the session.
Following the speeches, a proposal from the Advisory Board was accepted, deciding that the TBMM General Assembly would not work today and that the 2024 budget negotiations for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security would continue on Thursday, December 21.
In accordance with the decision, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Önder closed the session to reconvene tomorrow at 11:00 AM.
Additionally, the number of deputies for the Saadet Party has fallen to 9, and the Saadet-Gelecek Group has dissolved.
