As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out at Akkuş's residence in coordination with the Iğdır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Provincial Security Directorate.
Akkuş, who was detained by Counter-Terrorism Branch teams on charges of "membership in an armed terrorist organization," was taken to Istanbul, where the investigation is being conducted.
A large number of digital materials at Akkuş's address were also seized.
