DEM Party Imrali delegation to be in Kocaeli today: Next visit is to Figen Yüksekdağ
The DEM Party Imrali delegation, which visited Selahattin Demirtaş at Edirne Prison, will meet with Figen Yüksekdağ, who is imprisoned at Kocaeli Kandıra Prison, today. The visit is expected to take place at 13:00.
Developments continue to unfold regarding the new process that began when MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shook hands with DEM Party deputies at the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).
Following Bahçeli's call, the DEM Party delegation, which went to Imrali to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, has completed its visits at the TBMM.
The DEM Party delegation, which included Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, and former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk—who was replaced by a government-appointed trustee—visited Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned at Edirne Prison, yesterday.
The delegation's stop today will be Kocaeli Kandıra Prison.
According to NTV, the delegation will meet here with former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who is imprisoned there.
The visit is planned to take place at 13:00.
THE MEETING HAS BEGUN
The DEM Party's 'Imrali' delegation, consisting of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, and Ahmet Türk, is visiting Figen Yüksekdağ, who is imprisoned at Kocaeli Kandıra Prison.
Following the meeting with Figen Yüksekdağ, the DEM delegation is expected to inform the public about the process with a press statement in Ankara next week.
It is also planned for the delegation to go to Imrali Island for a second time in the near future to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Following that visit, all eyes will turn to Öcalan's call.
