Dervişoğlu had said 'We know who is spinning you like a top' for Bahçeli at the group meeting: MHP's response was not delayed

MHP Secretary General İsmet Büyükataman responded in harsh terms to the statements made by İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu regarding MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli. In a post on his social media account, Büyükataman accused Dervişoğlu of "crossing the boundaries of decency."

'WE KNOW WHO IS SPINNING YOU LIKE A TOP'

In his speech at his party's TBMM Group Meeting, Dervişoğlu criticized MHP leader Bahçeli and used the following expressions:

"My respect is not for you, but for the seat you occupy. Because I know the first and true owner of that seat. I hope you consider the respect I have shown you until now as alms for the loyalty I feel toward the true owner of that seat. We know who is spinning you like a top."

'CROSSING THE BOUNDARIES OF DECENCY'

Following these words, Büyükataman evaluated Dervişoğlu's expressions as "insolence" and made the following statement:

"The 'İP' members, who have left no door unknocked and no disguise unworn on the path they set out on claiming to be Turkish nationalists, are crossing the boundaries of decency to save their political careers, which have turned into a patchwork quilt with their so-called nationalist rhetoric.

The nationalist discourse of this mentality, which has lost its senses by going back and forth between the barons of Kandil and the capitals of imperialism, and which has lost its orbit by sitting and rising with every kind of anti-Turkish and anti-Turkey element at the 6-party table, has gone bankrupt.

'AS THE ROPE SNAPS...'

The insolent expressions he used regarding our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, are, to put it mildly, an expression of the panic of extinction. Mr. Müsavat is having difficulty keeping his tongue in check as the rope snaps."

Büyükataman also stated that Bahçeli's determined stance in the fight against terrorism is appreciated by the Turkish nation, adding, "The call of our Chairman and the determination to eradicate all terrorist organizations in the new century cannot be rendered void. We will reach our goal of a Turkey without terrorism. In this case, there will be no chance of getting a 'well done' from the puppeteers of the 'İP', and their political lives will come to an end."
