Dervişoğlu's harsh reaction to the Turkish flag provocation: The hall was adorned with Turkish flags

Speaking at the podium during the İYİ Party group meeting held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the roadmap to be followed after his party's 4th Ordinary Congress. Dervişoğlu's speech also included messages regarding a group lowering the Turkish flag at the Nusaybin border and the current political process.

Dervişoğlu began his speech by touching upon his party's congress process. Wishing the congress to be beneficial, Dervişoğlu used the following expressions:

“We have held our İYİ Party congress. I hope it brings goodness to our nation. Thanking those who called and sent messages after he was re-elected as chairman, Dervişoğlu made the following assessment regarding the messages of support:

“I thank everyone, especially the chairmen of our political parties, who called or sent messages due to my re-election as chairman. Know that you have always kept my head held high to the clouds. And I swear upon God, I will not let your heads bow.”

Continuing his speech by emphasizing his political stance, Dervişoğlu stated that he is not bound to any authority other than the Turkish nation. Dervişoğlu used the following words:

“I have had no master other than the Turkish nation, and I never will. Rest assured that the time is now. The time is the time of the good. Good intentions will surely win. The good will surely win. Because we are not alone, we are together. We are not helpless, we are the solution.”

Dervişoğlu also touched upon the developments taking place around the world and the situation Turkey is in. Stating that the İYİ Party's primary priority is to end the hardships imposed on Turkey, Dervişoğlu used the following expressions:

“The world is experiencing transition pains in the intersection area of the old and the new. The İYİ Party's first priority is to end the suffering inflicted upon Turkey.”

In the final part of his speech, Dervişoğlu said that the government has been stalling society for years with similar excuses, and stated that developments in foreign policy are being used as justifications for internal problems. Dervişoğlu continued his speech with these words:

“The Turkish nation has been listening to the same excuses for 25 years. We are being consoled by being told there is a war in Syria, the situation in Russia is critical, wait. Yet our people are waiting to access their most basic rights. To be clear, no one is buying these tricks. These words do not fill stomachs.”

Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who entered the election as the sole candidate at the 4th Ordinary Congress held by the İYİ Party at the Grand Ankara Congress Center, was elected chairman for the second time by receiving the votes of all 1,180 delegates.

Within the scope of the congress held on January 18, the election of the members of the General Administrative Board and the Central Disciplinary Board was also conducted.
