Devlet Bahçeli could not hold back his tears at the podium: Why did he cry?

Starting his speech by addressing the fire disaster in Bolu, Bahçeli emphasized that those responsible for this horrific incident, in which 78 citizens lost their lives, must be held accountable. The following statements stood out in Bahçeli's remarks:

“Sometimes a chain of negligence turns into a fire with a single spark. We often hear the saying 'fire burns where it falls,' but the reality of events is not limited to this. 8 families lost their lives in the Grand Kartal Hotel fire, 36 of our children lost their lives. For God's sake, has anyone reached a conclusion from the discussions that have been going on since last week? When did we drift so far from human values?”

EMOTIONAL MOMENTS AT THE MEETING

It was observed that MHP member İsmail Özdemir, whose wife and son were also at the hotel on the day of the fire, could not hold back his tears. Emotional moments were experienced in the hall during Bahçeli's speech for the innocent children who lost their lives. Bahçeli concluded his speech with these words:

“I wish God's mercy upon our late citizens and our tiny little ones, and a speedy recovery to those who survived with injuries. We will not forget this great pain and we will be followers of the process to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”
