Dilek İmamoğlu reacts to access ban on Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account

Dilek İmamoğlu reacted to the reimposition of an access ban on her husband Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account with a post on her own social media account.

In her post, İmamoğlu argued that Ekrem İmamoğlu's voice was being prevented from reaching citizens and stated that the decision was unacceptable in terms of freedom of expression.

''You have taken away the freedom of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the presidential candidate of millions. Now, you are once again closing the paths his voice would reach. The access ban reimposed on his X account shows that censorship policies against freedom of expression have been put into effect once again.''

In her statement, Dilek İmamoğlu also emphasized the rule of law. İmamoğlu used the expression, "A state governed by the rule of law survives not by closing accounts, but by upholding the law and guaranteeing fundamental rights."
