Dismissals continue under 'trustee' at Esenyurt Municipality
Following the arrest of Ahmet Özer, who was removed from his post as Mayor of Esenyurt, dismissals continue within the municipality. The Press and Public Relations Manager and Deputy Mayors have also been dismissed.
Following the arrest of Ahmet Özer, who was removed from his post as Mayor of Esenyurt on charges of "being a member of the armed terrorist organization PKK/KCK," dismissals continue at the municipality under the administration of Can Aksoy, who was appointed as a trustee in his place.
Most recently, Press and Public Relations Manager Sermir Burkay Kaya and Deputy Mayors Orhan Ayyıldız and İbrahim Halil Çalış were dismissed.

THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED INTO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING FOR 13 DAYS
Elected council members have not been allowed into the municipal building for 13 days. The members, who gathered in front of the municipal building, held a sit-in throughout the day, pointing out that what was done to Ahmet Özer was unlawful. Last week, Esenyurt Deputy Mayors Oktay Kılıç, Murat Düzgün, and Osman Yalçın were dismissed, and Chief Advisor to the Mayor Engin Doğru resigned.
On the other hand, a new investigation has been launched against Ahmet Özer for the crime of "financing terrorism."
