Efkan Ala said nearly 100: YRP reveals the number of municipalities they requested from AKP!

As the local elections approach, the tension between the AKP and the New Welfare Party (YRP) continues to rise.

AKP Group Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala claimed that the YRP, which closed its doors to an alliance with his party, had requested nearly 100 districts.

Following Ala's statement, a response from the New Welfare Party front was not delayed.

YRP Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Doğan Aydal, in a statement on Sözcü TV, revealed how many municipalities they requested from the AKP during the negotiations conducted before the local elections.

Aydal stated that the YRP requested the Kocaeli, Sakarya, Kütahya, and Bilecik municipalities, as well as 35 district municipalities.

Reminding of the municipalities the AKP left to the MHP, Aydal said that the New Welfare also had demands in line with its vote share and stated, "We wanted two metropolitan cities; we said Kocaeli and Sakarya. We also wanted two provinces, Kütahya and Bilecik."

'AKP CANNOT WIN 76 DISTRICTS WITHOUT US'

Explaining that the AKP cannot win 76 districts without the YRP and that they requested 35 of these, Aydal said that Ali İhsan Yavuz from the AKP had also taken notes during the negotiations, but that things changed in the second meeting. Aydal announced that starting from the second meeting, the AKP delegation came to them with the offer, 'We will give you municipal council memberships.'
