Ekrem İmamoğlu reacts to the arrest of Vahap Seçer: Erdoğan's politics have reached a state of addiction to operations

Imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu has reacted to the arrest of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and Union of Municipalities of Türkiye President Vahap Seçer.

In a post shared on the X account named İmamoğlu's Presidential Candidacy Office, Seçer's arrest was evaluated as "the final stage reached by the desperation of the 'profiteering' mentality that usurps the national will."

The post stated, "The point that Erdoğan's politics has reached is 'addiction to operations.' The Türkiye in Erdoğan's dreams is a 'country of operations.' He has lost hope in the ballot box and the nation."

In his statement, İmamoğlu also touched upon the imprisonment of the mayors of Eyüpsultan, Yenişehir, and Mezitli, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Ataşehir. Emphasizing that these detentions were not "a corruption operation," İmamoğlu characterized the process as a continuation of political operations.

At the end of the statement, it was said, "This nation will say 'start from scratch' at the ballot box, and it is the only will that will bring peace to Türkiye."
