Ekrem İmamoğlu's sharp reaction: 'I learned to be honorable from Hasan İmamoğlu, stop harassing our family!'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP Presidential Candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted sharply to the searches conducted at the homes of his father, Hasan İmamoğlu, and his wife, Dilek İmamoğlu. İmamoğlu stated, "Stop harassing our family. Everyone, all of Trabzon, has known my father since his childhood in politics, society, and business life. I learned to be honorable from him, from Hasan İmamoğlu. They are raiding this man's house, be aware of this."

"Stop harassing our family.

Searches are being conducted by breaking locks and entering our homes with gendarmerie, even though these searches could be carried out in the presence of the homeowners when notified. These shows serve no purpose other than to provide material for politics and the media.

I am addressing the mindset behind this from here; you cannot find in us and our families the dark spots you have created in your own lives. Thank God, we are clean, clear-conscienced, and upright people.

The nation has seen your conspiracies; no matter what mise-en-scène you create, no one believes your conspiracies anymore.

But you are trampling on our family sanctity. You are heading toward a mental breakdown that ignores our faith and values.

This lawlessness, this recklessness, has never been experienced in any period of our history.

If there is even a gram of conscience left, give up this family harassment and your effort to fill an empty file with tricks and fraud.

Be honorable!

I want to address the party that defends the President at every opportunity again;

Do such attacks on the chastity, honor, dignity, and immunity of a family not hurt you at all?

Is there any place for such oppression in the customs and traditions of the Turks?

How much longer will you remain silent about these improprieties?
