Election result remains unchanged in Bayburt after recount
Following an objection by the MHP regarding the mayoral election results in Bayburt, the votes were recounted, and the result did not change.
The District Election Board, evaluating the objection filed by the MHP Bayburt Central District Presidency, decided to recount the votes for the 93 ballot boxes where 19 thousand 674 voters cast their ballots.
In accordance with the decision, the votes were recounted at the District Election Board.
As a result of the count, the vote for AK Party candidate Mete Memiş increased by 30 to 7 thousand 374, while the vote for MHP candidate Hükmü Pekmezci increased by 14 to 7 thousand 132.
The recount conducted upon the objection did not change the outcome.
According to the unofficial results, AK Party's Mete Memiş had been elected Mayor of Bayburt.
