Enthusiastic welcome for Özgür Özel in Diyarbakır
CHP's elected Chairman Özgür Özel was met with great interest by party members and citizens upon his arrival in Diyarbakır for a series of engagements. Welcomed with drums and zurna, the ululations of women, and chants of "Free President, free Turkey," Özel's program includes Friday prayers, visits to shopkeepers, a meeting with farmers, a session with civil society representatives, and a gathering with young people.
CHP's elected Chairman Özgür Özel, who arrived in Diyarbakır to attend various programs, was welcomed by party members and citizens at Diyarbakır Airport. Meeting with party members on the apron, Özel later greeted the crowd waiting for him in front of the airport.
During the welcome, slogans such as "Free President, free Turkey" and "Diyarbakır is proud of you" were chanted, while women ululated to the sound of drums and zurna. There was intense interest in Özel.

As part of his Diyarbakır program, Özel is first scheduled to perform Friday prayers at the Great Mosque (Ulu Camii). The CHP leader will then visit shopkeepers in the Suriçi district, followed by a meeting with farmers in the Işıklar neighborhood of the Bismil district.

Özgür Özel, who will continue his contacts in Diyarbakır throughout the day, is also scheduled to hold a meeting with representatives of civil society organizations operating in the city.
