Erdal Beşikçioğlu visits Mansur Yavaş: 'The result is clear'

CHP's Etimesgut District Mayoral candidate Erdal Beşikçioğlu and CHP Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol visited Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş.

Erdal Beşikçioğlu answered questions from members of the press following the meeting, which lasted approximately half an hour.

"THE RESULT IS CLEAR"

Regarding a question about the AKP candidate Turgut Altınok, Beşikçioğlu stated, "Our Mayor Mansur's feet are so firmly planted on the ground that when he walks, those around him tremble. The presence of an additional candidate is merely a requirement of democracy within their own ranks. The result is clear, that is to say."

When asked why he is running for office in Etimesgut, Beşikçioğlu replied, "Because it is a district founded by Mustafa Kemal, because the sun rises from there, and because the social activities we will carry out are compatible with the youth there... This place will become a district of culture."

STATEMENT ON POLLS

When asked whether they had commissioned any polls regarding the elections, Beşikçioğlu said the following:

"Because I act, I am always meeting with audiences. These meetings involve 1,000-1,500 people. I take photos with each and every one of them, and this forms my emotional poll. It is very positive. We will come with a different narrative. I don't know about rent-seeking, and I'm glad I don't, but I think I know about service."
