Erdoğan and Shara discuss developments in Syria
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the situation in Syria following Israeli attacks during a phone call with Syrian President Ahmed Shara.
A statement from the Presidential Communications Directorate noted that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan found Israel's attacks on Syria unacceptable and emphasized that these attacks pose a threat to the region. Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue its support for the Syrian people.
During the call, it was also expressed that the ceasefire reached with the Druze in Syria was welcomed by Turkey. Syrian President Shara thanked Turkey for its support regarding the preservation of his country's political unity, the ensuring of its territorial integrity, and the maintenance of its sovereignty.
