President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke for the first time regarding the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant.
Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:
TRADE WITH ISRAEL
"We have rapidly cut off our trade with Israel. To protest the Zionist administration's crimes of hostility, we filled the squares, streets, and avenues together with our nation. We decided to intervene in the case filed against Israel. We have mobilized decision-making and enforcement mechanisms at the international level.
WILL TURKEY ARREST NETANYAHU?
We support the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant. I find it important that this courageous decision be implemented by all countries that are parties to the treaty. It is mandatory for Western countries, which have been lecturing the world on rights, law, and justice for years, to fulfill their promises on this point."
