Erdoğan condemns attack on Sumud Flotilla

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant remarks at the Extended Provincial Heads Meeting held at the AKP Congress Center. Condemning the attack on the Sumud Flotilla, which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, Erdoğan described this action taken by the Israeli administration in international waters as "banditry."

Erdoğan stated, "At a time when children are dying of hunger in Gaza, this attack on the Sumud Flotilla, which was bringing aid to oppressed Palestinians, is an indication of Israel's effort to conceal its crimes against humanity in Gaza."

TURKEY'S SUPPORT FOR THE FLOTILLA

Erdoğan noted that Turkey has taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the activists and citizens on the Sumud Flotilla. "Turkey stands with these travelers of hope who are the voice of humanity's common conscience," said Erdoğan, emphasizing that they will continue to work to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

CRITICISM OF THE OPPOSITION

During the meeting, Erdoğan also targeted the opposition. Stating that the AK Party is a movement built on values, Erdoğan said that the slanders and lies directed at their party have failed every time. "We still do not see any signs of change in those who look at the AK Party with a skewed perspective," said Erdoğan, expressing that their party possesses a populist approach to municipal governance.

Erdoğan also welcomed the new mayors who have joined the AK Party, stating that the address for service is the AK Party and the People's Alliance.
