Erdoğan gives the order in Istanbul: 'Think with a football mentality'

President and AKP Chairman Tayyip Erdoğan spoke about the local elections at a consultation meeting held at the AKP's Istanbul provincial headquarters.

According to the report in the Türkiye newspaper, President Erdoğan gave the following messages at the consultation meeting:

"We are setting out by saying 'Istanbul once again.' There are 5 lost years. Istanbul does not deserve this. We cannot lose another 5 years. We cannot let down the hopes of Istanbul residents and those who vote for us. We are making all kinds of preparations. You, too, will be on the field to take Istanbul. Think of this almost with a football mentality. That is, it does not matter who our opponent is. They do not concern us. We make our preparations and take the field. We will take the field to win the match. As long as we prepare well. Let us work tooth and nail on the field. Let us work with all our might and focus on winning."
