Erdoğan holds phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to a statement from the Directorate of Communications, Erdoğan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The discussion covered regional and global issues, primarily the Ukraine-Russia war.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan stated during the call that Turkey is making intensive efforts to stop the bloodshed and ensure lasting peace in both Ukraine and Palestinian territories. President Erdoğan expressed that Turkey is ready to assume a facilitating role and host peace negotiations to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Erdoğan stated that it is important to restructure and operationalize the grain corridor, noting that he is continuing diplomatic contacts to this end, and emphasized that a ceasefire should be achieved in Ukraine as soon as possible to open the door for peace.
