Erdoğan holds talks with UAE leader Al Nahyan
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan held a phone call with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a statement from the Presidential Communications Directorate, the discussion covered Israel's attacks on Gaza, efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire in the region, Turkey's endeavors to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians, and steps taken to ensure peace.
During the call, Erdoğan stated that it is important to stop Israel as soon as possible and to continue with determination the steps taken to ensure a lasting ceasefire.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan emphasized that the decisions taken at the joint summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League must be meticulously implemented to ensure peace in the region, and that initiatives to increase international support for Palestine must be continued in a spirit of unity.
