Erdoğan holds those responsible for election results: Names to be dismissed have been determined!
It is claimed that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has held two individuals responsible for the March 31 Local Elections.
According to the unofficial results of the March 31 Local Elections, the AKP has fallen to the position of the second party for the first time since its founding.
Following the election defeat, all eyes have turned to the moves to be made by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
There is talk in political circles of wide-ranging changes to be made in the party administration and the cabinet.
Erdoğan has first held Organization Head Erkan Kandemir and Local Administrations Head Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz responsible for the March 31 results. It has been learned that these two individuals will be dismissed from their posts.
According to a report by BBC Türkçe; the main reasons for the defeat were discussed at the AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. These included the economic crisis, incorrect candidate choices, the failure to meet the expectations of retirees, protest votes from the electorate, social aid provided by CHP-run municipalities, a lack of objectivity in candidate selection, and the breakdown of the alliance with the MHP in some provinces.
Erdoğan stated at the MYK meeting that the party headquarters administration, local organizations, and candidates also shared the blame for the defeat.
According to reports from political circles regarding the changes expected within the party and the cabinet, it is also suggested that some party executives may request to be "relieved of their duties."
