President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has joined Next Sosyal (NSosyal), a social media platform introduced under the leadership of Baykar Chairman and T3 Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar.
In his first post from his account, Erdoğan stated, "A flower has bloomed among concrete walls... Are you ready?"
NUMBER OF USERS APPROACHES 1 MILLION
It was stated that the number of users of Next Sosyal, which was announced by Selçuk Bayraktar as a "domestic" social media move, has approached 1 million in a short time. Bayraktar had also introduced the Next Messaging application within the same ecosystem.
"DOMESTIC" DEBATE
Although the emphasis on being "domestic" was highlighted during the platform's introduction, the revelation that the Next Sosyal and Next Messaging applications use the infrastructure of the Germany-based, open-source Mastodon sparked debate. This situation brought about questions on social media such as, "Is it truly domestic?"
