Erdoğan lashes out at the opposition again: 'They can wait 22 years, or even 222 years'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the Haliç Congress Center. While drawing attention to the declining birth rates in Turkey, Erdoğan also launched harsh criticisms against the opposition.

Dear Istanbulites, esteemed ladies, my fellow travelers and comrades, I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings. I wish for our Istanbul Women's Branch's 7th ordinary congress to be beneficial for our party, our country, and all women.

I commemorate Alev Alatlı with gratitude on the 1st anniversary of her passing. She was one of the most productive female intellectuals raised in the last century. I pray for God's mercy upon her.

With today's congress, I convey my success wishes to those continuing in their duties and those taking on new roles, and my thanks to those handing over their duties. We have placed special importance on our women and youth.

''WE HAVE ADDED STRENGTH TO OUR TURKISH CENTURY MARCH''

In recent days, we have added strength to our Turkish Century march with a new team. We will initiate the same excitement in our women's branches. We will put an end to this great marathon by holding our Istanbul congress on February 7. The AK Party's women's and youth organization has been an example to other parties as well. We are very pleased with this development on behalf of our women and youth.

Just as no initiative that excludes women can succeed, it is impossible for any political movement to reach its goals. If our votes are not at the levels we desire today, it means we are not reaching women effectively, we are not explaining ourselves, and we are not conquering households from within. Today, women are the segment most oppressed and battered by the darkest projects being implemented in the world and in our country.

HARSH REACTION TO THE OPPOSITION: "WITH THIS MINDSET, THEY CAN WAIT 222 YEARS''

No matter which direction you look, you see how women affect the entire society, starting with the family. It is not possible to keep politics outside of this striking picture. The way to win the hearts of the entire family is through reaching women. As the AK Party, we have achieved vote rates reaching 50 percent in elections by entering households through women. Only our women can achieve this conquest. Women can carry our party to the place it deserves. We want to reach a 50 percent vote rate again in 2028. Everything has a partial effect in politics, but the greatest factor is hard work. Do not pay attention to the opposition expecting to come to power without working, with a 'drop into my mouth' mentality. With this mindset, they can wait another 22 years, or even 222 years.

''THEY ARE ONLY PLAYING AT BEING IN POWER''

As long as they (the opposition) do not put their minds to the country's issues and do not appear before the nation with solutions, they are only playing at being in power, like a 23rd of April school play.

The LGBT perversion is being encouraged and incentivized in many areas by the barons of global culture. At the point we have reached, the situation has begun to evolve into a madness that includes men under the guise of gender-neutrality. Protecting and looking after men as men, women as women, and both as human beings constitutes the main axis of the policies we will implement in the coming period.

Getting caught up in global winds and not only destroying the family institution but also removing the line between men and women does not make us modern; it makes us a toy for globalists.

We will carry out an uncompromising struggle against all kinds of threats to the mental and physical health of our children and youth. We are now facing simulations that our population will start to decline from 2035 onwards and will drop to 65 million by 2100.
