Erdoğan returns to Turkey: Did not attend Biden's dinner
President Erdoğan has returned to Turkey after completing his contacts in the US, where he was attending the 79th UN General Assembly. Erdoğan departed for Turkey without attending the dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has returned to the country after completing his contacts in the US, where he had traveled to attend the 79th United Nations (UN) General Assembly. The private plane "CAN," carrying Erdoğan and his delegation, landed at Atatürk Airport at 09:30 in the morning.
President Erdoğan was welcomed at Istanbul Atatürk Airport by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, and other officials.
During his US contacts, Erdoğan was accompanied by his wife Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Head of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, and Director of Communications of the Presidency Fahrettin Altun.
Following the welcome, President Erdoğan left the airport to proceed with his schedule in Istanbul.

NTV US correspondent Hüseyin Günay announced that Erdoğan had decided not to attend the dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden. In a post on the social media platform X, Günay stated, "Erdoğan has decided not to attend Biden's dinner. He left the Turkish House and set off for the airport. He will return to Turkey."
