Erdoğan's response to Netanyahu on Palestine: 'He has already written his name in history as the butcher of Gaza'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is speaking at the AKP parliamentary group meeting.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"BUTCHER OF GAZA"

"Netanyahu has already written his name in history as the butcher of Gaza. This black stain is fitting for the foreheads of everyone who supports him. This stain of shame will not be washed away. We will not forget the crimes against humanity and war crimes committed in Gaza, nor the indifference of Western countries, with 1 or 2 exceptions. We will try every path to ensure that the Israeli administration is held accountable before international law in the direction of the human conscience.

"IT REDUCES OUR HOPES FOR A CEASEFIRE"

Statements coming from the Netanyahu administration reduce our hopes for the humanitarian pause to turn into a permanent ceasefire. Israel must be prevented from shedding more blood and taking more lives to extend the political life of Netanyahu, who is increasingly cornered in the eyes of public opinion. By fueling antisemitism with the murders he commits in Gaza, Netanyahu is endangering the safety of Jews along with the Israeli people. Along with antisemitism, Islamophobia is also rising in the world. Immigrants are paying the price for the irresponsible rhetoric of Western leaders who demonize Palestinians under the pretext of Hamas. The attack on three Palestinian students in the USA on Sunday is an example of this. We know that Western states are reluctant to fight these terrorists, who are often tried to be trivialized by being called fanatics or far-right. The double standard they have displayed since the beginning of the Gaza crisis indicates that scenarios other than legal loopholes are coming into play regarding the impunity of hate crimes against Muslims. Freedom of expression for those who burn the Quran... It is definitely not well-intentioned. Just as it was done to Jews and Roma in the past, a Muslim problem is being constructed today.

EARTHQUAKE ZONE

We are ashamed to talk about exorbitant prices in the earthquake zone. The earthquake tourists who exploited the nation's pain received their lesson at the ballot box and were slapped by the national will. We do not allow earthquake opportunists in economic life. There are exorbitant prices in construction materials and construction works that cannot be explained by market realities. There are situations where the same material is sold in two cities with a 30 percent price difference. We will go after this lack of conscience stemming from greed.

RETIREE BONUS

After receiving approval from Parliament, we will make a one-time payment of 5 thousand to all working retirees, including farmers and Bağ-Kur retirees. By using an additional resource of 76 billion liras, we will have paid 5 thousand liras to our 15.2 million retirees.

ISTANBUL CONVENTION

The campaigns carried out by marginal circles regarding our country's withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention have no basis. The goal of those who link the issue of violence to this convention is not violence against women. If they were bothered by violence against women, they would not have tagged along with the separatist terrorist organization. If they had any concern about women's rights, they would have upheld the memory of our women murdered by the separatist scoundrels.

LGBT

They considered it a skill to listen to opera, have breakfast, and form an election alliance with those who sympathize with the separatist organization. Now they say they are honored because they kissed hands and feet. We will walk together with the mothers of martyrs, the Diyarbakır mothers, and our heroic women who challenged the coup plotters.

It is no coincidence that those who keep the Istanbul Convention on their tongues are uncomfortable with our steps to strengthen the family institution. The goal of these segments, which are the biggest supporters of deviant and perverted movements, is to collapse our social structure, LGBT... The only one standing tall against these deviant, perverted movements is the People's Alliance, the AK Party. We will not leave the field to them. We are starting to provide financial support to our young people who want to start a family.

CRITICISM OF THE OPPOSITION

On our agenda is serving the country and the nation. On the opposition's agenda are dirty tricks and scandals. At the top of our agenda is the construction of the Century of Türkiye; on their agenda is demonstrating in Parliament with those under the command of the separatist organization. We are watching the developments in the opposition with sadness. Neither Turkish politics nor Turkish democracy deserves such a scene. Citizens, let alone voting for them, do not even want to hear their names. I had some hope after the election results were announced, I hoped they might understand their mistakes. Nothing has changed on the Western front. They blamed all the costs of the heavy defeat in the May 14-28 elections on their presidential candidates; same old, same old.

The CHP Chairman has changed, but there has not been the slightest change in the way the CHP conducts politics. They underestimate the public; they have tied all their hopes to behind-the-scenes scenarios.
