Erdoğan signs: 'Coal aid' decision published in the Official Gazette

The decision regarding the provision of coal aid for heating purposes to households in need has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, coal aid will be provided to families in need as determined by provincial and district social assistance and solidarity foundations.

The amount of coal to be distributed per household on a provincial and district basis will be determined by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, taking into account the region's climatic conditions, distribution amounts from previous years, and the calorific value of the coal.

The decision states that households eligible for the aid will be identified by the foundations established in each province and district in accordance with need criteria, while the number of households determined will be approved following evaluations by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

The decision also states that invoices regarding the cost of the coal to be delivered to households in need will be issued in the name of the foundation where the household resides.
