Surprising remarks from Erdoğan on the anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert: 'If the sword leaves its scabbard...'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the program organized for the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert. In his speech, he drew attention to both Turkey's domestic policy goals and regional developments.

"IF THE SWORD LEAVES ITS SCABBARD, THERE IS NO ROOM FOR WORDS"

Emphasizing that they are striving for a strong future despite the challenges Turkey faces, Erdoğan said, "Despite all kinds of obstacles, hindrances, and sabotage, we are literally struggling for a great and powerful Turkey once again. We have made progress in the process, thank God. We are continuing our work with the meticulousness of a jeweler. This time, no one will be able to stand in the way of this atmosphere of hope."

In another notable part of his speech, Erdoğan stated, "If the sword leaves its scabbard, there is no room for words or pens."

"TURKEY IS ALSO THE GUARANTOR OF KURDS IN SYRIA"

In his messages regarding Syria, President Erdoğan drew attention to Turkey's role as a guarantor, saying, "Turkey is also the guarantor of the security of Kurds in Syria. Those who turn their direction toward Ankara and Damascus will win, while those who lose their way will lose."

"WE ARE A GREAT FAMILY OF 86 MILLION"

Emphasizing Turkey's unity and solidarity, Erdoğan said the following:

"As 86 million, we are a great family brought together by history, culture, and our beliefs. We all live under the same flag. This flag, which takes its color from the red blood of our martyrs, is ours. We saw this in Iraq, we saw it in Syria, and we saw it in many corners of our heartland. Tomorrow, Turkey and the Turkish nation will once again be the sanctuary for those who are oppressed."
