Erdoğan travels to Qatar for condolence visit
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will serve as acting President during President Erdoğan's visit to Qatar.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has traveled to Qatar to pay his condolences following the passing of the Father Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
A decree regarding the acting presidency during the visit was also published in the Official Gazette. According to the mandate, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will serve as acting President during President Erdoğan's visit to Qatar on July 14, until his return.
It was stated that the acting duty will be carried out in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye.
