'Co-Presidency' proposal to Erdoğan: 'You talk, we'll fill the treasury'

Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu attended the Manisa Public Meeting. Speaking at the event held at the Manisa Atatürk Sports Hall, Ağıralioğlu commemorated the late Ferdi Zeyrek.

Criticizing the government's policies, Ağıralioğlu stated that the country possesses enough resources to sustain 85 million people and expressed that they are not content with the current state of the nation.

Noting that efforts have been made to lower inflation for 5 years but targets have not been met, Ağıralioğlu continued his remarks as follows:

"We do not accept that agricultural input costs are not covered by the support you provide. We do not accept being unable to afford a single meal with the daily wage you provide. We do not accept the sale prices you set for produce in the field, nor the fuel prices. Our children cannot find jobs, and we do not accept this. We do not accept that people you release from prisons go on to murder the nation's children and are then released after serving only 5-6 years. We do not accept the lack of deterrents in sentencing. We do not accept nepotism or the injustice in job interviews. Justice has remained in the shadow of politics, and we do not accept this. We do not accept that mothers have to work just to pay for daycare. We do not accept that the country has become unlivable due to your lack of planning capacity. You do not make any cuts to your own expenses, yet you place the entire burden of the anti-inflation program on the citizens. You create a new tax every day to establish budget discipline. We do not accept it."

“YOU HAVE MADE US UNABLE TO LIVE IN CONDITIONS HARDER THAN 2002”

Emphasizing that the country's current situation is worse than in 2002, when the AKP came to power, Ağıralioğlu said, "You started on a path saying 'Let the people live,' but you have made the nation unable to live. For 23 years, you have been the nightmare of your nation and the hope for the murderers of our children. Every two years, you swap the places of traitors and heroes. We do not accept you thinking you are the state. We do not accept you calling it 'waste' when the opposition does it, but saying 'there is no saving on prestige' when you do it. We handed you a country. For 23 years, your nation has stood behind you. You have made us unable to live in conditions harder than 2002. We do not accept it. In the last election, you won by cursing at Öcalan. This year, you are praising him. We do not accept it. We are candidates for power. We are those who promise to make this country a thriving one. How to recover the country, how the state becomes a state, how the nation stands up, how the Treasury fills... It is as if they are splitting the atom. Governing the country is like splitting the atom. The debt, the taxes, the children are ours. Despite that, we do not accept a government that, like a Teflon pan, lets nothing stick to it, feels no shame, and blames the opposition without keeping its promises to the nation. I wish they had kept their promises," he said.

“ANAHTAR PARTY WAS ESTABLISHED AS ATONEMENT FOR WHAT MHP AND AK PARTY COULD NOT DO”

Proposing a 'co-presidency', Ağıralioğlu said:

"We had to form a party because the AKP and MHP could not keep the promises they made to the country. The Anahtar Party was established as atonement for what the MHP and AK Party could not do. We have to keep the promises they made but could not keep, on their behalf. We will prevent waste and corruption. We will make justice a harbor where everyone can take refuge. You will thank us for justice. You will thank us for the farmers you have bent and broken. You are giving a 20,000 lira pension and a 22,000 lira minimum wage. Half of the rent cannot be paid with the money we provide. We will recover our country. The nation has become unable to make ends meet for 5-10 days with the money you provide. The nation has become unable to host guests. You have made it so they cannot even hold weddings for their children."

“ANAHTAR PARTY WILL SAVE YOU FROM THIS TROUBLE”

Then they call our president a 'global leader.' Let me explain global leadership. Let me explain it humorously; there is a risk in speaking harshly to the president. I am making a polite jab at our President. I really like the speeches our President makes at international meetings. 'The world is bigger than 5' is a great phrase. I find the maps he shows to point out where Palestine and Israel are very valuable. But the Reis forgot his nation while saying he would deal with the world. I am objecting to the leadership of Turkey. I invented something like a Co-Presidency. You talk at international meetings. We will fill the treasury, you talk. Talk like a head of state who has money. Let us make the currency valuable. You talk as the President of a country with a valuable currency. We will fill the treasury, and you go and slap everyone on behalf of the Republic of Turkey. You are currently speaking as the President of a country with an empty treasury, and that weakens you. The Anahtar Party will save you from this trouble.

“TAYYİP ERDOĞAN HAD TO DO THESE THINGS, HE DID NOT”

You are a world leader. What good is your world leadership to us? We are world leaders in inflation, interest rates, and substance abuse. We are ranking in corruption and poverty. We have a world leader, but look at the state of the country. This country has paid 600 billion dollars in interest. We have a budget deficit problem. The cause of the current account deficit is the justice deficit, and the cause of the budget deficit is the democracy deficit. Your injustice causes the current account deficit. That is why the Anahtar Party was founded. They ask, 'How will you do what Tayyip Erdoğan could not?' Tayyip Erdoğan had to do these things, he did not. He was the one who could have done it the most. He could not. We ask the AK Party. What are you missing? What do you want from our nation? What are you missing to make our children's dreams possible? While you have the power to do everything, you are the ones who cannot do it because you could not combine governance with skill. The nation has started to fear you. Who are you that the nation fears you! You should fear your nation. You have made a nation that says 'Fear not' in its National Anthem fear you. We are not sure of your hands or your tongues. Why are we, as a nation, afraid of what you will do?"

“YOU ARE THE CAUSE OF THE TROUBLES IN THIS COUNTRY”

Pointing to the government as the sole address for the country's current problems, Ağıralioğlu said, "A politics that has forgotten its nation, a politics that set out with humility and became arrogant. A politics that calls those it called traitors heroes two years later, a politics that started with a 'ring' and ended with a 'palace.' A politics that loses its children in planes at 60 and buys itself 14 planes. I am speaking to a politics that we have kept in power for 23 years, which says it only defeats the CHP because it cannot solve the problems it is obligated to solve. You are defeating the CHP; you cannot defeat inflation, corruption, or unemployment. Mr. Tayyip is only focused on defeating the CHP. Even if you stay in power, you are the biggest trouble facing this country. You are the cause of the troubles in this country," he said.
