Farewell to Yiğit Bulut from his father-in-law: 'He was not an AKP member, he just loved Mr. Tayyip'

PresidentialChief Advisor, journalist-author, and economist Yiğit Bulut (53) hassuccumbed to the cancer he had beenbattling for some timeandpassed away. Bulut's funeral will be held today atMarmara University Faculty of TheologyHe will be buried following the funeral prayer to be held at themosque during the afternoon prayer.

A REMARKABLE FAREWELL MESSAGE

Yiğit Bulut's father-in-law, former Minister of Culture and Tourismand ATA Party Chairman Namık Kemal Zeybek, expressed his respect for Bulut in a condolence message he posted on his social media account, while also making a remarkable also made political comments that drew attention.

In his message,Zeybek stated that Bulut was not an AKP member, but held agreat admirationfor President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

"YİĞİT WAS A TURKIST,RATIONAL, AND BHE WAS A SCIENTIST,A TURKIST”

Zeybek also recounted his personal memories and ideologicalbackground withthese words:

"He was the ex-husband of my daughter Şule. The father of my grandson Ahmet Yiğit... When we met, he was a Turkist, a rationalist, a scientist, and a Kemalist. I believe he always remained that way. Events dragged him to the other side. If he had stayed in his original position, he would havecould have been a successful leader.”

At the end of his condolence message, Zeybek stated the following:

“When the day comes, we will all gohas moved on to another dimension. Let us wish him well there. If there are those who speakill of thedeceased,let us know that they arebad peoplethemselves. For me, Yiğitwill always be the father of my grandchild.was. And so it shall remain. May his soul be at peace in the hereafter.”
