Fatih Altaylı makes a highly discussed claim about Selim Temurci! 'In the presidential elections...'

Gelecek Party Istanbul Deputy Selim Temurci, who entered Parliament on the Republican People's Party (CHP) list in the May 14 elections, made remarks supporting AKP's IMM candidate Murat Kurum regarding the March 31, 2024, local elections.

Temurci, who rejected his party's offer for the IMM candidacy, explained his reasoning by saying, "I rejected it so as not to come face-to-face with the AKP base."

Journalist Fatih Altaylı made a striking claim about Temurci in an article published on his own website.

Altaylı wrote about Selim Temurci, "I would bet that Selim Temurci did not vote for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the presidential election either. The betrayal had started back then."

Altaylı continued his article as follows:

"Because Temurci and those like him are no different from the uncles we see in street interviews who say, 'Even if the apocalypse happens, even if the country burns and collapses, I will still vote for the AK Party, still for the Reis.' For them, politics is not about serving the country, but a belief. Even if they are angry at the Imam, they continue to prostrate before him. Isn't there even a proverb about this!"
