CHP claim from Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu! 'We received a large portion of the votes...'
TKP Kadıköy mayoral candidate Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu claimed that the CHP's vote share in Kadıköy has fallen below 40 percent. Maçoğlu stated, "We received a large portion of those votes."
Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) Kadıköy mayoral candidate Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu made assessments regarding the upcoming local elections.
Appearing as a guest on the TELE1 channel, Maçoğlu said that the gap between them and the CHP in the polls has narrowed.
"CHP'S VOTE SHARE IN KADIKÖY HAS FALLEN BELOW 40 PERCENT"
Stating that election research conducted in Kadıköy shows a loss of votes for the CHP and that this loss is in their favor, Maçoğlu said the following;
"Let's say the CHP receives an average of around 70 percent of the vote. That vote share has fallen below 40, and we have received a large portion of these lost votes. In the previous term, a female candidate ran for the AKP, and because she was somewhat well-liked in Kadıköy, her vote share went from 16 percent to 19 percent (2019 elections), but currently, their votes have fallen to around 13-14. The IYI Party ran with Emre Kınay last term. He is also someone somewhat liked by society, an artist. There is also a decline in the votes going to him."
"THERE IS NO LARGE GAP WITH THE CHP"
Finally, Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu said that while they did not conduct their own polls, there is research for Kadıköy. He stated that according to the research, the gap between them and the CHP is not large.
