Former minister and AKP Deputy Chairperson Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, whose name has been linked to allegations during the process known in the public eye as the "fund investigation," has made a statement following days of silence.

Kaya denied the claim that she traveled to the Hajj on the private jet of Muhammed Yarız, the Chairman of the Board of Pusula Portföy and a key figure in the investigation. Speaking to journalist Nagehan Alçı, Kaya stated that she made her journey on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight.

It was noted that following this statement, Kaya also sent her ticket information to Alçı. However, it was observed that Kaya did not provide a detailed explanation regarding the other allegations brought against her.

THE YARIZ DETAIL IN THE INVESTIGATION

The account activities of Muhammed Yarız, one of the businesspeople arrested as part of the fund investigation, are among the notable topics in the file. It had been alleged that 25 million euros were sent from Yarız's account to an account in Switzerland, and that a transfer of approximately 2.9 billion liras was detected between Yarız's account and an account at the Edmond de Rothschild Bank in Switzerland.

The allegations regarding Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and her husband İlyas Kaya were brought to the agenda by YENİ Party Spokesperson Zeynel Emre. Emre had claimed that the couple purchased Özata Denizcilik shares for approximately 255 TL in April 2026 and sold them for around 4,482 TL shortly before the crisis erupted in September.

According to Emre's claim, Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya invested 63 million 359 thousand TL to withdraw 1 billion 344 million TL, while her husband İlyas Kaya invested 99 million 687 thousand TL to withdraw 826 million TL. Emre had drawn attention to the timing of the transactions, arguing that a total profit of approximately 2 billion TL was made.

Following these allegations, Kaya announced that she had resigned from her post in the AKP.
