AK Party Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan made evaluations regarding the fund investigation on the agenda during a live broadcast on NTV. İnan stated that the party's stance is clear regarding the process in which the name of former minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya is mentioned.
İnan stated that the AK Party parts ways with individuals who have "strayed from its moral values," saying, "For 25 years, we are a party that immediately distances itself from anyone who strays from these moral values. Our President has both taught us this and instructed us accordingly."
We are frankly clear in our decision on this matter. Whoever does wrong in this regard can never remain within our party and can never be our companion in this cause.
STATEMENTS REGARDING THE INVESTIGATION
During the broadcast, it was recalled that within the scope of the investigation, 141 individuals and 73 companies had generated high profits, that there is a list of 214 people who earned over 100 million liras, and that a total income of 187 billion 653 million liras was generated from 3 funds.
İnan stated that the investigation is being carried out with determination by the judiciary, noting that approximately 150 people who are said to have earned above a certain amount and exited the system are on the agenda, and that 80 of them have been arrested and their assets seized.
Stating that possible negligence in the bureaucracy will also be investigated, İnan said, "Whoever has abused their duty in the bureaucracy here, whoever has turned a blind eye to this situation here, we will hold them accountable one by one anyway."
Stating that a team has been established under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, İnan said that the AK Party is "fighting against fund devils" in this process. İnan also expressed that the party's 2028 goal is to re-elect President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as president.
