Feti Yıldız speaks clearly: When will the joint report be released?

Work on the joint report by the structure established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, known in the public eye as the “process commission,” is ongoing.

COMMISSION MEETS FOR THE SECOND TIME

The joint report drafting team, composed of representatives from political parties with parliamentary groups, is meeting for the second time today under the chairmanship of TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. The framework of the joint report to be prepared by the commission will be discussed at the meeting.

Entering the TBMM building before the meeting, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız answered journalists' questions regarding the report drafting and the execution law.

SHARED A TIMELINE FOR THE JOINT REPORT

In response to the question, “Has the report drafting phase begun?” Yıldız replied, “We will make preparations.” Yıldız stated that the headings would be determined and then the writing process would begin.

In his statement, Yıldız said, “First, we will agree on the headings, and it will begin to be written in the coming days. We will release the report within this month, God willing. Everyone has said what they had to say, and pages of reports have been written. We will definitely reach a consensus. There is nothing that cannot be agreed upon.”

“FOUNDING CODES ARE NOT A SUBJECT OF DEBATE”

Emphasizing the fundamental principles of the Republic of Turkey, Yıldız stated, "The standards are clear. The founding codes of the Republic of Turkey are certainly not a subject for debate. We will sit down and reach an agreement within that framework."

Evaluating the new enforcement regulation, Yıldız said that approximately 50,000 people have been released due to the regulations made, and another 50,000 to 60,000 people are expected to be released within the next 6 months.

Yıldız noted that what is truly needed is not a new enforcement regulation, but a comprehensive enforcement law.

Speaking about the enforcement legislation, Yıldız said, "It is said that the enforcement regulation has turned into a patchwork quilt. If we enact an enforcement law, we will get rid of this as well. We will work together to enact an orderly enforcement law that is in compliance with the principle of equality in the Constitution."
