‘FETÖ’ allegation regarding Murat Kurum! 'He is hiding it in his resume'

AKP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum has been the subject of a striking allegation.

According to a report by Halk TV; it was alleged that Kurum previously worked at GESTAŞ, where Aydın Ateş served as Chairman of the Board and which was shut down on FETÖ grounds, and that he did not include this work experience in his resume.

Following the July 15 coup attempt, in a FETÖ operation carried out in Ankara, the assets of 52 businesspeople, lawyers, and members of the judiciary, including Ankara's largest builder Ömer Akgül, were seized on the grounds that they provided financial support to the organization.

One of the companies seized on FETÖ grounds by the decision of the Ankara 3rd Criminal Judgeship of Peace was GESTAŞ, owned and chaired by Aydın Ateş. Murat Kurum, the IMM Candidate of the People's Alliance formed by the AKP and MHP, began his professional career at this company. However, Kurum concealed that he had worked at this company.

The information, which cannot be found anywhere else regarding Kurum, emerged in his old CV. Between 1999 and 2000, Kurum worked on the construction of the dormitory, casino, amphitheater, and earthquake reinforcement project for the Tuzla Infantry School. The company where Kurum worked received a tender ban in 2011 due to irregularities in a border outpost construction tender in Iğdır.
