Fines for farmers who joined the Ekrem İmamoğlu protest with their tractors!
Ten farmers from Yozgat who participated in a protest with their tractors against the imprisonment of Ekrem İmamoğlu were each fined 993 liras for traffic violations. CHP Deputy Chairman Erhan Adem described the situation as "a bill charged to the will of the people."
In Yozgat, 10 farmers who supported a protest organized to oppose the imprisonment of CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu with their tractors were each issued a traffic fine of 993 liras.
CHP Deputy Chairman Erhan Adem stated, "These fines are not just paper; they are a bill charged to the will of this people. Do not listen to those fines, listen to the voice of that people. Those farmers are the insurance of this country, a source of hope. Turn back from this mistake immediately and cancel the fines."

In recent days, a protest was organized by the CHP organization in the Kazankaya village of Yozgat's Aydıncık district to react to the imprisonment of Ekrem İmamoğlu, and farmers supported the action with their tractors. According to the news in BirGün, 10 farmers who participated in the protest were fined 993 liras each.

Making a statement regarding the issue, CHP Deputy Chairman Erhan Adem said:
"In recent days, our farmers in the Kazankaya village of our Yozgat province's Aydıncık district held a convoy with their tractors. The purpose of this convoy and protest action was a rebellion against the unjust arrests and slanders made against Ekrem İmamoğlu, and his imprisonment in Silivri. Furthermore, our farmers held an action for the immediate release of our young people who were detained during protest demonstrations held by our students. These farmers, who already cannot earn money, live in poverty, and have difficult living conditions, finally raised the flag of rebellion when they could not earn money from what they produced and faced pressure from the Ministry of Agriculture as well. As a result of this protest action, Mr. Minister of Interior, they did not obstruct anyone, they did not block traffic. They carried out an action based on the understanding of rights, law, and justice. Why did you send them fines after the protest, Mr. Minister of Interior, is this fair? The Minister of Agriculture is applying enough pressure, do not put pressure on our farmers too. Have these fines cancelled immediately.

"THIS PEOPLE WILL NOT LEAVE THEIR FIELDS OR THEIR DEMOCRACY WITHOUT AN OWNER"
All over the world, when farmers take to the streets, the state listens. In our country, the response is with fines, pressure, and silencing. This action was a call to stand up not only for Ekrem İmamoğlu but also for all the producers of this country. But you deemed this call a crime. I am calling out from here to the Ministry of Interior, the Yozgat Governorship, and the police authorities: These fines are not just paper; they are a bill charged to the will of this people. Do not listen to those fines, listen to the voice of that people. Those farmers are the insurance of this country, a source of hope. Turn back from this mistake immediately and cancel the fines. End the lawlessness. As the Republican People's Party, we stand with the farmers of this country who live by the sweat of their brow and the producers who resist with their labor. You will not be able to silence their voices. No matter what you do, the owners of these lands will not take a step back. Because we know: The barefoot ones founded this country. This people will not leave their fields or their democracy without an owner.''
