First statement from Kılıçdaroğlu following Mansur Yavaş's resignation from CHP

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP chairmanship by a court decision, issued a written statement regarding Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş's resignation from the CHP.

In his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu used the expression, "Mr. Mansur Yavaş is a valuable politician whom I brought into the Republican People's Party."

Referring to Yavaş's public statement, "When people go to the ballot box, they do not just vote for a name, but for a political will. For this reason, I did not find it right to ignore the will of the voter, nor to move positions obtained with their votes to political addresses that the voter did not approve of, and I still do not find it right today. Loyalty to the will of the voter is the honor of politics," Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he agrees with these assessments.

At the end of his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We also fully agree with these assessments of Mr. Mansur Yavaş."
