Flash claim from Aslı Baykal! 'Kıraç acted as an intermediary, requested the removal of three nationalist figures'
Aslı Baykal, daughter of former CHP Chairman Deniz Baykal, has shared a claim that is set to cause a stir. According to the claim, the Koç family gave names to Baykal and said, 'Cross out these three nationalist figures from your staff.'
Discussions regarding TÜSİAD's criticisms of the government continue to occupy the agenda. Investigations were launched following TÜSİAD's statements. Amidst this agenda, a striking claim came from Aslı Baykal, daughter of former CHP Chairman Deniz Baykal.
Baykal shared various claims on her X account regarding İnan Kıraç, a founder of TÜSİAD and long-time CEO of Koç Holding:
“There have been attempts by the business world to determine politics through non-political rules before, and everyone remained a spectator. In 2010, Koç Holding member İnan Kıraç visited Deniz Baykal, said the party was doing very well, gave 3 names, and asked him not to include these people on the list at the upcoming party congress. Baykal rejected this offer; 3 months later, the tape conspiracy occurred. These 3 names were not on the list of Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought in to replace him.
Someone redesigned the CHP. I heard this event from my father.”

Following this post, Odatv contacted Aslı Baykal and asked who the three individuals in question were. According to Baykal's claim, the CHP staff members the Koç family wanted to be purged were: Onur Öymen, Önder Sav, and Mustafa Özyürek.
Aslı Baykal's claims are as follows:
“DATE: FEBRUARY 2010
Regarding when İnan Kıraç visited Baykal and conveyed this request, Baykal said: It must have been February 2010. This process is very important because the date the 'opening' process began was also a few months prior. The CHP, led by my father, had very clearly opposed the opening. During that time, especially Onur Öymen's defense of Atatürk's policies regarding the Dersim events had caused discomfort in some circles. Öymen had become a target.”
STATEMENT FROM ONUR ÖYMEN
Odatv asked former CHP Deputy Chairman Onur Öymen, one of the three targeted names, about the visit in question. Öymen noted that Deniz Baykal had relayed this event to Yılmaz Ateş, and that he himself had heard it from Ateş. According to Öymen, it is highly probable that this request was not İnan Kıraç's own personal demand, but rather that he was conveying someone else's view.
